Storyboard ArtistReports to: Storyboard Directors and ProducerBento Box is looking for experienced Storyboard Artists for a very successful animated series that combines adult comedy with strong musical foundations, layered with dark horror elements and emotional storytelling. The show mixes sharp humor with sincere human drama, creating a bold and original viewing experience.We’re seeking storyboard artists with strengths in the following areas:• Character-focused artists – Skilled in emotionally grounded, naturalistic character acting and able to create believable performances that complement strong voice work• Cinematic and dramatic staging artists – Capable of crafting atmospheric, large-scale compositions with a strong sense of tone, tension, and visual storytelling• Action sequence artists – Experienced in choreographing dynamic, fast-paced action with strong pacing and visual rhythm• Musical sequence artists – Energetic and expressive, with a flair for stylized musical storytelling and strong timing to support musical beats Responsibilities: Create storyboards that convey story structure, cinematic composition, character acting, and pacingRead and interpret scripts and be familiar with story, tone, jokes and charactersInterpret scripts and Director’s thumbnails to understand the narrative and translate them into clear, compelling sequencesDevelop and sketch sequences to communicate emotion, performance, action, and storytelling beatsEnsure technical aspects of the storyboard, such as camera angles and transitions, are accurately depictedRevise or refine storyboards based on feedback from the storyboard director, creators and executivesConsider references and design assumptions provided and maintain alignment with themReport to the Storyboard Director daily for assignment direction and notesWork closely with the Storyboard Supervisor and team to meet deadlines while maintaining qualityWilling to be amenable with working hours to accommodate the different timezones that you will be working alongside Qualifications: 3+ years experience storyboarding in episodic series animation, preferably in comedyStrengths in character performance, cinematic staging, dynamic action and expressive music sequencesA strong portfolio of work demonstrating technical accuracy and proficiency.Strong proficiency in Storyboard ProComfortable working digitally on a CintiqExcellent organizational skillsMust be able to adapt to changes easily within a highly dynamic environmentStrong attention to detail is criticalAbility to work within a team-oriented environmentAbility to adapt quickly and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment
