Standards Specialist

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Standards Specialist to join our innovative optical networks standards team. This key role will involve defining the features and functions of cutting-edge optical transport products within Nokia's portfolio, collaborating closely with R&D and regional business development teams to bring these advancements to market.
Requirements
• Work with Product Line Managers (PLMs) and R&D teams to identify standardization strategic objectives that support Nokia product strategies.
• Develop and regularly review standardization strategies relevant to Optical Transport Infrastructure, Ethernet, and Physical Layer topics consistent with Nokia product directions.
• Provide damage control regarding standardization initiatives of Nokia competitors that are incompatible with Nokia product directions.
• Participate in meetings of ITU-T Study Group 15, specifically Question 11 (responsible for signal structures, interfaces, equipment functions, protection, and interworking for optical transport networks), and as necessary, other Questions within ITU-T SG15, the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) Physical and Link Layer (PLL) working group, the IEEE 802.3 Working Group, and OpenROADM.
• Provide internal reports and briefings on standardization results, progress and directions to R&D and PLM.
• Build trusted relationships and be able to influence key executives. Support technical marketing activities, such as educational white papers and application notes involving standards.
