Responsibilities
Assigns a variety of patient care resources to patient care units throughout various campuses.

Collaborates with nursing and unit-based leadership to ensure fluid movement of resources.

Schedules and reassigns staff to match qualified personnel with current needs.

Communicates regularly with unit-based leadership and staffing colleagues regarding resource needs.
,
Schedules available colleagues to open shifts and enters accurate scheduling information into software.
,
Generates reports to illustrate current resource assignments.
,
Assists in orientation and training of new staffing clerks.
,
Recommends changes in staffing policies to promote efficiency.
,
Reports unresolved problems to Central Staffing Office leadership.
,
Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships with colleagues.
Requirements
Two or more years of staff scheduling experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
,
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
,
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
,
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
,
Experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
,
Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize tasks.
