Staffing Assistant

They are seeking a Staffing Assistant to provide logistical, relational, and administrative support to the NYC Staffing team, ensuring accurate data management and facilitating communication with consulting staff.ResponsibilitiesProvide support to the NYC Staffing function by tracking casework assignments and billing arrangements for non-partner consulting staff:Assist with outreach to current case teams to confirm upcoming end dates for all consultantsRespond to ad-hoc requests for information related to staffing opportunities, availability, staffing data/reports, consultant information and availabilityRequest updated staffing bios from consulting staff and upload to individual BCG Navigator pages (intranet)Assist with searches for consulting staff with specific expertise for proposals and sold workAct as backup for People Team Specialist and Staffing team as needed to:Collect all required data from case leadership to open a new request for the local staffing systemSend the base list options to case leadership after initial staffing request is madeManage the end-to-end process of short-term staffing in the time between formal assignments for consultantsDevelop working relationships with all members of the local office to facilitate the information flow to provide timely, transparent informationRespond to special projects and other internal requests as neededMaintain and update all individual staffing assignments, availability and related data in the Staffing databaseAssignment start / end datesVacation time, scheduled trainings, and LOAs (working with HR)Notes on upcoming availabilityUpdated performance highlights after the completion of every assignmentGenerate weekly consulting staff availability reports for the Talent Management and Staffing team; and maintain ‘base list’ availability to share with case team leaders and other officesAct as backup for People Team Specialist and Staffing team as needed to:Create project and resource request entries in online staffing systemGather staffing data, analyze and prepare reports on consultant deployment and investments as neededCoordinate with Managing Directors & Partners, local finance, and other North America offices to:Identify or open the appropriate codes for staffing assignmentsEnsure investment requests are transparent and have been approved by the relevant partiesTrack and appropriately distribute investment funding across offices as relevantMonitor case budget for ongoing projectsProvide case codes, billing instructions and information to consulting staff and other North America staffers as neededWork with Talent Management and Finance team to review consultant billing and leakage report each week and request corrections as necessaryCreate Information Management (IM) teamsites for each new caseWork with the IM team to ensure teamsites are opened and closed in a timely mannerFacilitate the weekly NYC System pipeline callsMake all necessary adjustments to the internal and published pipelineRepresent NYC on bi-monthly North America Regional Staffing callsPerform Other Duties And Projects RequiredSkillsBachelor's degree required1-3 years of administrative support or human resources experience, preferably at a professional services firmHighly organized, attentive to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNumeric proficiency and experience managing financial dataProficient computer skills: MS Office with a strong preference for substantial Excel and PowerPoint experienceBenefitsZero dollar ($0) health insurance premiums for BCG employees, spouses, and childrenLow $10 (USD) copays for trips to the doctor, urgent care visits and prescriptions for generic drugsDental coverage, including up to $5,000 in orthodontia benefitsVision insurance with coverage for both glasses and contact lenses annuallyReimbursement for gym memberships and other fitness activitiesFully vested Profit Sharing Retirement Fund contributions made annually, whether you contribute or not, plus the option for employees to make personal contributions to a 401(k) planPaid Parental Leave and other family benefits such as elective egg freezing, surrogacy, and adoption reimbursementGenerous paid time off including 12 holidays per year, an annual office closure between Christmas and New Years, and 15 vacation days per year (earned at 1.25 days per month)Paid sick time on an as needed basisEmployees, spouses, and children are covered at no cost.
