Learn about our customers: anvilogic.com/customers JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead cross-team technical initiatives for revenue-impacting features in our enterprise cybersecurity platform. You’ll set architectural direction, drive engineering standards, and deliver reliable systems. This is an individual contributor role with influence across our product and teams.Role ResponsibilitiesLead architecture designs and technical specifications ensuring scalability, maintainability and performanceDesign and build robust, scalable services and APIsTake ownership of software development initiatives from coding and testing to deployment and maintenancePerform thorough code reviews to maintain quality, consistency and adherence to coding standardsMentor senior engineers providing supportive feedback and promoting a positive and innovative culture within the teamCollaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into production solutionsRequirementsQualifications8+ years of software development experience with demonstrated leadership on large scale, distributed systemsProficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Go)Ability to hit the ground running with Python 3 service development (FastAPI/Flask), data modeling (Pydantic/SQLAlchemy/Alembic) and testing (Pytest) on AWSStrong experience designing, implementing and operating REST APIs at scaleDeep expertise across relational and non-relational databases including table and schema design and migration managementExtensive experience with software design principles, architectural patterns and best practicesHands-on experience with AWS (e.g. Lambda, SQS, ECS, and EKS) and containerized deploymentsExperience leading projects with a team of engineers and effectively managing resources to meet delivery deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentSome experience with LLMs, implementing standard patterns (Agents, RAG, Tools), and leveraging popular frameworks.
