Responsibilities: What you’ll doCollaborate with product managers to define the the strategic product visionHelp build out and evolve the design philosophies, processes, and culture at GraphiteExplore innovative UX and UI patternsSolve complex technical challenges with creative problem solvingExecute on 0-1 feature releases and large product updatesHelp identify new business and product opportunities through a strong understanding of our capabilities, user needs, and the competitive landscapeRequirements: What we’re looking for7+ years of experience designing digital productsFull stack design skills (UX, design systems, UI, prototyping)Very strong sense for visual design for UI (eg. layouts, components, design systems, polish, etc)Ability to translate ambiguous user needs to concrete requirements and turn them into comprehensive design specsProven product design experience with concrete examples of iterative approaches to complex problemsExperience creating scalable and responsive patternsExperience creating or maintaining design systemsMastery of contemporary design and prototyping tools and best practicesExcellent written, verbal, and visual communication skillsNice to havesExperience designing for SaaS, enterprise, devtools, or productivity toolsSelf-sufficient & ability to thrive in an ambiguous environmentExperience with zero-to-one projects or experience as a founding designerInterest in or experience working on developer tools and workflowsA good understanding of web front-end (i.e. HTML/CSS, React)User experience research experience (eg. user interviews, user testing, etc)Branding, art direction, graphic design, marketing design, or motion design experienceLife at GraphiteCompetitive comp: ($200-240k base + substantial equity).
