Hybrid: 2 days in office/ 3 days WFH

STAFF OR SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
ā¢ Process and track transactions related to sales, refunds, and expenses from our Shopify platform, ensuring seamless integration with accounting systems.
ā¢ Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and ecommerce payment gateways to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
ā¢ Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer billing inquiries.
ā¢ Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management review.
ā¢ Monitor inventory costs and assist with periodic inventory reconciliations to align with sales and purchasing data.
ā¢ Help prepare budgets and forecasts by compiling data and analyzing trends in ecommerce performance metrics.
ā¢ Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, assisting with sales tax filings and other statutory requirements.
ā¢ Collaborate with the Controller and finance team to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
ā¢ Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and support audits as needed to maintain transparency and accuracy.
Requirements:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
ā¢ 1-2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in ecommerce or retail environments.
ā¢ Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
ā¢ Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus).
ā¢ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
ā¢ Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and meet deadlines.
