Staff ML Engineer, Applied AI Remote or on-site in Boulder, CO / Charlotte, NC / New York, NY Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Machine Learning Engineer specialized in Applied AI to lead innovative projects at the intersection of AI/ML and Fintech. The ideal candidate will drive the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models and solutions, enhancing our product offerings and improving customer experiences. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design and develop machine learning models and algorithms for applied AI projects in the fintech domain. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing systems and products. β€’ Research and implement cutting-edge technologies such as large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). β€’ Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI initiatives. β€’ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in the team. β€’ Evaluate and optimize model performance, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in production environments. β€’ Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML, and apply best practices to enhance project outcomes. Qualifications β€’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. β€’ Proven experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a focus on applied projects. β€’ Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in relevant ML libraries and frameworks. β€’ Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques. β€’ Experience in the fintech industry, with an understanding of financial products and services. β€’ Demonstrated ability to work on complex problems and deliver innovative solutions. β€’ Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
