About the position
The Staff Fulfillment Pharmacist at Accredo is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, overseeing pharmacy technicians, and performing quality assurance checks. This role involves interpreting prescriptions, verifying controlled substances, and supporting other pharmacists as needed. The position operates on a rotating schedule of four 10-hour shifts, including on-call duties several times a year.
Responsibilities
Ā Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.

Ā Interpret physicians' or prescribers' prescriptions.

Ā Verify and confirm validity of controlled substances.

Ā Verify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry.

Ā Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.
Requirements
Ā Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree is required.

Ā Current resident pharmacist license in good standing is required.

Ā 1-2 years relevant experience.

Ā Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.

Ā Good oral and written communication skills.

Ā Ability to adapt in a changing environment.

Ā Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
