As a Staff Engineer - Cloud Solutions, you'll play a key role in enabling the migration of applications and services to private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
We're looking for a talented engineer who can lead and deliver solutions that balance speed and time-to-market with respect to cloud systems, products, and services. You'll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, including AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead the definition, execution, and maintenance of enterprise-level cloud migration strategies, processes, tools, and architectural design reviews
Develop and implement cloud-native architectures with low latency, high throughput, and high availability
Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Operations, Product, and Platform teams to implement and promote private and hybrid cloud initiatives
Provide technical mentorship to other software engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards
Stay up-to-date with industry-leading technologies and solutions, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with cloud-native principles and architectures, including private (Red Hat OpenShift) and public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Strong understanding of software design, development, and automated testing
Experience with distributed systems, databases (e.g., Postgres, Cassandra, Couchbase, Mongo), and application performance management tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to senior leadership
