Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the evolution and maintenance of our high-availability cloud infrastructure. This role is a critical backfill requiring a "Day 2" operator—someone who doesn't just build environments but possesses the real-world scars from scaling, patching, and securing them in production.
While Kubernetes expertise is a core requirement, this is a holistic Cloud Engineering role. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our Azure ecosystem, using Terraform for provisioning and Ansible for configuration management and OS-level orchestration.
Required Qualifications
7 years of relevant work experience
Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
Adept at collaboration and teamwork
Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Adept at business intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
Azure Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
Monitoring & Observability: Experience setting up and managing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Prometheus/Grafana stacks to proactively catch "Day 2" issues.
Team Leadership: Experience acting as a technical lead or "player-coach" who enjoys documenting processes to prevent single points of failure.
Technical Communication: Ability to explain complex infrastructure concepts to non-technical stakeholders or internal customers.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Equivalent professional experience (10+ years) and high-level industry certifications may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
