Staff Accountant – Remote (US)

You will play a key role in driving a timely month-end close, tightening controls, and supporting a company that is scaling quickly. What You Will Do • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including journal entries, accruals, and amortizations • Manage accounts payable including invoice processing, vendor documentation, weekly aging reports, and 1099 support • Oversee accounts receivable including invoicing, deduction reconciliation, and weekly aging updates • Reconcile bank accounts, payroll, inventory, and multiple corporate credit cards • Reconcile sales and COGS across key e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon Seller Central • Process payroll through Rippling with accuracy and compliance • Ensure adherence to GAAP standards, internal controls, and established accounting policies • Support internal and external audits through documentation preparation • Partner cross-functionally on projects that improve visibility, efficiency, and financial processes What You Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within CPG or e-commerce • Solid understanding of GAAP, inventory and COGS accounting, and accrual-based accounting • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP • Preferred experience with Shopify, Rippling, Avalara or Numeral, and e-commerce reconciliation • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities • Knowledge of sales tax compliance and reporting The Details Location: Remote (United States only) Salary: $63,000 to $83,000 per year depending on experience Type: Full-time Benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage plus growth opportunities Environment: Collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced with the chance to influence processes and outcomes Why You’ll Love This Role You will join a team that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
