The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with at least 7+ years of general ledger experience, and experience working on the accounting for multiple entities at once. Responsibilities:
Β Accurately reconcile bank statements
Β Perform account reconciliations on assigned balance sheet accounts, inter-company and subsidiary accounts
Β Prepare, review, reconcile and analyze general ledger balances
Β Update and review workpapers such as depreciation and loan schedules
Β Prepare recurring, reversing, and adjusting journal entries
Β Prepare and file sales tax and personal property tax returns
Β Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines at the fiscal period close (month/period)
Β Ability to multi-task and set priorities
Β Ability to field phone calls from clients and educate in business best practices
Β Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Payroll and other Staff
Β Additional special projects and research driven by business needs
Β Desire to continue personal professional development
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Β Minimum 7+ yearsΒ experience in accounting required
Β Minimum 7+ years of accrual accounting and journal entries required
Β Experience working on the accounting for multiple entities at the same time as a bookkeeper or accountant is required
Β Positive attitude, attention to detail, problem solver, strong work ethic, and high integrity are all qualities needed for this job
Β Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Office products is required
Β Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills required
Β Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work along with internal and external partners
Β Strong written and oral communication skills required
Β Experience with accounting write up packages; Thomson Reuters is a plus
Β Accounting for Restaurants or Retail is preferred
Β Experience working for a CPA firm is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
