Staff Accountant-Fully Remote

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Transactional Accountant to join our accounting team in Cincinnati. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with SAP ITP (Integrated Transaction Processing) systems—no prior SAP experience required, as training will be provided. The position focuses on supporting general accounting activities, revenue recognition, and contract tracking. Key Responsibilities: • Support accounting operations related to deferred revenue and prepaid accounts. • Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. • Track and monitor contracts for revenue recognition compliance. • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records in SAP. • Support the Controller and Assistant Controller with daily transactional accounting needs. • Prepare and analyze Excel-based reports (approx. 50% of role). • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions. Qualifications: • 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or manufacturing environment. • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles including deferred revenue, prepaids, and reconciliations. • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation). • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). • Experience with SAP a plus, but not required.
