Staff Accountant - Ancillary Services
GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant - Ancillary Services.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
Provide support to the accounting and financial department and team.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

ā¢ Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
ā¢ Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
ā¢ Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
ā¢ Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
ā¢ Develop and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
ā¢ Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
ā¢ Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
ā¢ Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
ā¢ Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
ā¢ Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
ā¢ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Associates degree in accounting is preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience required.
Additional Qualifications: N/A
Performance Requirements:
ā¢ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
ā¢ Proficient technical (computer) skills.
ā¢ Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
ā¢ Self-motivated with initiative.
ā¢ Strong sense of ethics.
ā¢ Team player
