Staff Accountant

ACT Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. The role involves managing bank reconciliations, overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities.ResponsibilitiesCompleting monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reconciliationsPreparing journal entries and ensuring general ledger activity is accurate and completePreparing daily bank transactions and reconciliationsAdministering the employee expense report process, ensuring accurate entry and supporting documentationOwning the AP process, ensuring accurate and timely invoice entry and paymentsOwning the AR process, receiving and applying payments and processing bank depositsGenerating customer invoices/remittances in accordance with contractual termsCorresponding with vendors regarding their accounts and resolving any invoice discrepanciesPartnering with the Front Office, Logistics, Group Treasury, Legal, and external vendors to review contract provisions and payment termsWorking collaboratively with the financial operations team to reassess and propose new policies, processes, and procedures that address evolving business needsSupporting month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation of supporting schedules and workpapersExecuting ad hoc projects as requiredSkills1-3 years of working experience in trade operations, accounting, or reportingBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldDynamic, 'outside of the box' problem solverProficient in Microsoft ExcelHighly self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable workstyle that responds quicklyTakes ownership for decisions and is accountable for actions regardless of the outcomeCompany OverviewACT Group is an environmental solutions company that provides decarbonization products, services, and solutions to organizations.
