Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant with Property Accounting will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of property accounting within our organization. This position requires a deep understanding of property management principles and practices, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate property financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for assigned properties, ensuring compliance with property accounting standards. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial records to ensure accuracy. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for properties under management. Coordinate with property managers to gather necessary financial data and information. Prepare and analyze variance reports, providing insights to improve financial performance. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. Support the preparation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries as needed. Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices in property accounting. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, or a related field. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software; experience with property management software is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Benefits Christmas Bonus : 30 days, to be paid in December.
