SRE Intern

As a Site Reliability Engineering Intern, you will help modernize and migrate a core service while ensuring the availability of its components, gaining valuable real-world experience in software engineering. Responsibilities Learn about the software development lifecycle, including roadmap and project planning, development and quality assurance testing, and deployment procedures Implement and test support tools, improvements, and/or optimizations for the product Find and fix bugs in production and development environments Thoughtfully give, and gracefully receive, rigorous code reviews Interpret metrics to monitor system performance and user behavior Document and communicate research and results Skills Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Studying toward a degree in a technology field, or equivalent work experience Eagerness to set goals and be part of a team Curiosity and drive to learn and investigate unfamiliar systems Written and verbal technical communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Enthusiasm and willingness to communicate via video-conferencing and text-based chat Experience with Python, Bash/Shell Familiarity with Docker Knowledge of Kubernetes (AWS/Azure) Experience with GitHub Benefits High-quality health benefits after 90 days Retirement Plan with employer match Paid Time Off benefits Company Overview Barracuda is a leading global cybersecurity company providing complete protection against complex threats for all size business.
