Sr Support Engineer - Generative AI
Job Description
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina has an immediate need for a Senior Support Engineer who will bolster our growing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) practice.
As a Generative AI support engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the business workflows, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives. You will also be responsible for designing, optimizing, and evaluating prompts to enhance the performance of large language models and AI systems.
The AI/ML COE builds foundational AI/ML capabilities and solutions that serve multiple cross-domain business use cases and provide thought-leadership on the potential of AI/ML in delivering transformational value for the enterprise. AI/ML COE maintains and matures BCBSNC AI/ML operations environment, and AI/ML standards & best practices to enable scaling of data science solutions from ideation to prototype, automation, productionization, and integration into business workflows. AI/ML COE also maintains a community of practice for data scientists at BCBSNC and developing partnerships with universities, and other Blues plans.
What You Will Do
Β Assist in the development and testing of Generative AI applications by crafting specific context-aware prompts for health insurance related topics.
Β Collaborate with domain experts to ensure prompts align with industry standards and regulations to ensure that the AI-generated content is accurate, free from bias, and compliant.
Β Work closely with business partners, product managers, and data scientists to ensure that the AI-generated content meets quality standards and serves its intended purpose.
Β Optimize prompt quality and performance by analyzing the effectiveness of existing prompts and refining them to enhance AI model performance.
Β Stay current with AI advancements to leverage cutting-edge techniques and adapt your prompts to new language models and algorithms.
Β Support on-going monitoring, tracking, and testing of Generative AI applications including pilots and production deployments.
Β Provide guidance and training to users of Generative AI applications on best practices for creating effective prompts.
Β Document best practices for prompt design.
What You Bring
Β Bachelor's or Advanced Degree where required
Β 5+ Years of Experience
Β In lieu of degree, 7+ years experience
Salary Range
$100,500.00 - $182,700.00
