Base pay range $89,900.00/yr - $160,600.00/yr You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities • Enhancement and maintenance of existing enterprise NLP technologies and extension of those systems to new clinical domains and applications • Working on the augmentation of various clinical knowledge resources (lexicons, nomenclatures, hierarchies, ontologies and rule systems) underlying the core NLP and AI modules • Evaluating the performance of those components on clinical documents at scale in production environments • Generating and interpreting domain/solution analytics in collaboration with engineering You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s in Computational Linguistics or Computer Science • 7+ years of overall professional industry experience • 7+ experience in Java or C#, Python, and SQL • 5+ years of NLP development experience • 3+ years of experience in a Cloud environment preferably AWS • 1+ years of experience with Prompt Engineering • Proven solid understanding of Medical terminology & coding • Experience interfacing and presenting to senior management, clients, and clinicians Preferred Qualifications • Master’s in Computational Linguistics or Computer Science • Familiarity with Docker, AWS or Azure, GitHub, CI/CD • Experience in working with voice to text technologies like MModal, Suki or Dax (Dragon) • Experience working with ontologies • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
