About The Job:
This is a temporary assignment with the option for full-time placement.
We are looking for a Sr QA Engineer for a 6+month contract position. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in software quality assurance and data and will be responsible for providing testing support for client applications.
What You ll Do:
Design, create and implement test plans to ensure compliance with product specifications and end-user requirements.
Develop, execute and maintain test plans for validating data migration. Perform data integrity and accuracy checks across source and target databases.
Work with product stakeholders to create test scenarios and test scripts. Collaborate with development, BSA and PMO groups and establish effective communication.
Develop End-to-End test plans including integration testing with third-party vendors to perform system testing.
Identify issues and raise bugs for functional and regression testing cycles as needed.
Provide test run reports to communicate testing progress and status.
Document complex technical issues and track resolution.
Able to work independently and partner with other team members as needed, meet deadlines and demonstrate effective problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications You ll Need:
Must Have:
7+ years of experience in a Sr QA Engineer role with hands-on experience in functional testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and joins.
Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL testing.
Proven experience in test automation with a focus on database validation.
Experience in using a Test Management tool to create and maintain requirement-based test suites.
Strong communication skills- be an advocate for quality.
Technical fluency ability to articulate issues effectively and learn new systems as needed. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Great to Have:
Experience with Azure DevOps- configuring repositories, builds and pipelines for automation runs.
Experience in Playwright or other automation test tools.
Domain knowledge in financial applications is a plus.
