Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Duration: 3+ months
Seeking for an experienced Power BI Developer with a strong background in semantic data modeling, advanced DAX programming, data visualization, and Power BI administration.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Semantic Modeling & Data Architecture:
ā¢ Design and optimize Power BI semantic models using best-practice dimensional modeling techniques.
ā¢ Build enterprise-grade datasets with proper relationships and hierarchies.
ā¢ Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data requirements and improve data quality.
ā¢ Advanced DAX Programming:
ā¢ Develop complex DAX measures and calculated columns to support business logic and KPIs.
ā¢ Optimize DAX for performance and maintainability.
ā¢ Visualization & Dashboard Development:
ā¢ Build intuitive Power BI dashboards that communicate insights effectively.
ā¢ Apply data visualization best practices and create interactive features.
ā¢ SQL Development (Oracle & SQL Server):
ā¢ Write efficient SQL queries and perform data profiling and validation.
ā¢ Collaborate with DBAs to optimize query performance.
ā¢ Power BI Administration & Governance:
ā¢ Manage Power BI Service components and support governance initiatives.
ā¢ Monitor performance and optimize dataset size and gateway performance.
ā¢ Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
ā¢ Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide guidance to self-service BI users.
ā¢ Document data models, DAX logic, and SQL scripts.
Required Qualifications:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (4 years).
ā¢ 5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
ā¢ Strong expertise in semantic modeling, advanced DAX programming, and Power Query.
ā¢ Solid SQL development experience in both Oracle and SQL Server.
ā¢ Experience with Power BI administration and understanding of relational and dimensional modeling concepts.
ā¢ Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
ā¢ Familiarity with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) Semantic model.
ā¢ Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks.
ā¢ Experience working with large, complex data sets in a multi-system environment.
