ā¢ *Position Overview**
We are seeking an experienced
ā¢ *Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)**
to manage and maintain our mission-critical Oracle 19c environment running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in
ā¢ *Oracle RAC**
and
ā¢ *ASM**
, and the ability to work independently on routine maintenance as well as specialized tasks.
ā¢ *Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Perform routine and advanced database administration tasks for Oracle 19c RAC and ASM environments.
ā¢ Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and security.
ā¢ Manage access security, database integrity, and physical data storage design.
ā¢ Oversee data storage management and supervise performance tuning activities.
ā¢ Author shell scripts for backup, restore, and monitoring tasks.
ā¢ Monitor database performance, space requirements, and optimize system resources.
ā¢ Identify and track issues, risks, and action items; provide accurate and timely status updates.
ā¢ Assist in coordinating software releases and upgrades.
ā¢ Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
ā¢ Work collaboratively in a team environment while being capable of independent execution of tasks.
ā¢ *Required Technical Skills
ā¢ Oracle RAC and ASM administration expertise.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c architecture and features , including Pluggable Databases (PDBs).
ā¢ Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) shell scripting.
ā¢ RMAN (Recovery Manager) for backup and restore operations.
ā¢ Performance tuning at both database and SQL query level.
ā¢ SQL and PL/SQL scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
ā¢ Patch management and applying PSU/CPU updates.
ā¢ Familiarity with OEM, AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports for monitoring and diagnostics.
ā¢ Security hardening and compliance (encryption, auditing).
ā¢ Capacity planning and forecasting for database growth.
ā¢ *Preferred Skills
ā¢ Experience with Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and high availability.
ā¢ Experience with UDEV configuration for ASM devices.
ā¢ Exposure to cloud-based Oracle deployments.
ā¢ Knowledge of automation tools for database operations
ā¢ *Soft Skills
ā¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex issues.
ā¢ Excellent documentation skills for procedures and standards.
ā¢ Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
ā¢ Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
