Senior Manager, Omnichannel Analytics – Ophthalmology

Overview

Apellis seeks a highly analytical and strategic-minded professional to lead its Omnichannel Analytics efforts to support SYFOVRE (pegcetacoplan injection). The Senior Manager will be accountable for owning end-to-end measurement, strategic analysis, and reporting on the effectiveness of omnichannel advertising efforts, including DTC TV, digital provider, and patient campaigns. This individual will integrate and synthesize data into actionable insights, effectively communicate results to stakeholders, and drive strategic optimization of omnichannel investments for SYFOVRE.

Key Responsibilities
• Represent the Business Insights (BI) & Commercial Operations function with the SYFOVRE marketing team and own the Omnichannel Analytics discipline within BI.
• Manage relationships with analytics and media agency partners to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Design, validate, and implement measurement frameworks for all patients and physician channels, ensuring that broader market dynamics/context are incorporated into analyses.
• Analyze trends and performance data to identify optimization opportunities and recommend resource allocation strategies.
• Lead experimental design, including treatment/control selection, sample sizing, timing, and analysis to evaluate channel effectiveness.
• Liaise with brand marketing, media agency partners, BI, IT, and leadership teams to align objectives, share insights, and drive data-driven decisions.
• Oversee the onboarding of promotional data, ensure the integrity and integration of datasets, and address quality issues.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, quantitative sciences, marketing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience leading omnichannel or marketing analytics within a biopharma, biotech, or life sciences consultancy; ophthalmology/retina experience preferred.
• Expertise in promotional measurement data (e.g., Crossix, Nielsen) and methodologies (MMM, MTA, A/B testing, media attribution).
• Highly proficient with Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Strong strategic mindset and business acumen to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations and deliver to cross-functional audiences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence at senior levels.
• Proven vendor or agency management experience, including contract deliverables.
• Independent and self-starter– able to manage workload with limited guidance and support in prioritization; effectively manages expectations and able to scope/prioritize work with relatively high independence.
• Foresight, anticipatory thinking; ability to proactively foresee evolving business and team needs and formulate solutions.
• Executive presence; high comfort in delivering and defending analyses/recommendations, including sensitive topics to commercial leaders and executive management; proven ability to provide succinct, effective messages both in verbal and written formats.
