Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a critical role in driving financial strategy, decision support, and operational performance within a growing Home Health and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company. Reporting directly to the VP of FP&A, this position manages a team of analysts and works cross-functionally to support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, team leadership experience, and a deep understanding of healthcare finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working collaboratively with department leaders and executive management.
Analyze financial and operational performance, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, capital investments, and profitability of service lines including home health and DME.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports for executive leadership, including KPI dashboards, margin analysis, and operational metrics (e.g., cost per visit, DME utilization).
Monitor reimbursement trends and payer mix impacts in both the home health and DME sectors.
Partner with accounting, billing, operations, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and cost allocation.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts; foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Assist in strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, expansions, and service line growth opportunities through robust financial modeling and due diligence.
Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and business intelligence tools.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Prior experience in home health, and/or durable medical equipment (DME) preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
Understanding of healthcare reimbursement, cost accounting, and payer dynamics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present findings to executives.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
Office setting or remote work environment.
Some travel may be required to company sites or regional operations.
