Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & Automation
Old Dominion University is hiring a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & Automation. The role involves building and maintaining academic and research computing environments, supporting the university's computing infrastructure, and developing automated processes for secure and compliant operations across servers, storage, networking, HPC systems, and cloud platforms. The engineer will also manage cloud resource budgets, implement security measures, and provide training and documentation to students and researchers.

• Implement security protocols and manage budgets for cloud resources to optimize usage and reduce costs.
• Onboard and assist students and researchers in effectively utilizing virtual and physical computing environments with training and documentation.

• Required education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Salary is non-negotiable, up to $101,005 annually.
• Final candidate must complete a criminal history check.
