Sr Financial Analyst

Position summary

This position will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting, commissions and bonus calculations, internal and external customer support, month-end close preparation, Daily Sales analysis, margin improvement projects with regards to pricing and customer investments, and other special projects requested by senior management. This position will report to the Chemistry Finance Director.

Role and Responsibilities
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and month-end close activities.
• Calculate commissions and bonuses for all eligible roles.
• Calculate customer rebates and process rebate payments.
• Provide monthly reporting for the Sales Team to help drive sales and budget achievement.
• Analyze current and past trends including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and pricing.
• Track customer pricing and investments to identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Support the coordination of the annual budgeting process. Gathering critical budget information and participating in budget review sessions.
• Forecast and report Daily Sales on a month to date basis.
• Prepare customer metadata uploads for improved reporting accuracy.
• Work with the Shared Services Team to research all customer disputes as it relates to pricing and provide resolution analysis.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting and in-depth analysis to support the Sales Management Team.

Qualifications And Education Requirements
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, high EQ.
• Demonstrates ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
• High degree of initiative in developing tools and reports to drive the business forward.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience, master’s degree a plus.
• 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis or transaction services roles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Experience with Dashboards and/or BI (i.e., Tableau is a plus).
• Proficient knowledge of ERP systems (i.e., NetSuite is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Basics to help with reporting efficiencies.
• Ability to support continuous improvement and other cost savings initiatives.
