Learn more at www.verint.com.Overview of Job Function:Verint’s Sr. Cloud Automation Engineer designs, develops and implements automated solutions for cloud deployment, scaling, and management in cloud environments. Their focus is on enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of Verint’s software systems by leveraging cloud technologies and automation techniques. This role requires considerable experience hosting large-scale platform services as well as a strong belief that automation is the only way to deliver and support platform services in a reliable and scalable way. The Sr. Cloud Automation Engineer works with Cloud Engineering leadership and Verint’s application teams to develop creative solutions satisfying technical and business requirements.Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:Build, deploy, debug and support VMware image in large scaleCustomize VMware workstation or similar virtualization softwareDeploy and support CI/CD pipeline, image scanning, and handle encryption requirementDevelop orchestration with core Java to pull image remotely in cloud/on prem hybrid environmentBuild images, deploy images for supporting application teamsRecommend processes, technologies and other improvements intended to benefit productivity, efficiency and/or quality of Verint’s solutions Develop automation for cloud managed services (AWS Services like EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM etc) through python, terraform, GitOps for automated deployments in development and production environmentsResearch new technologies to improve Verint’s cloud/on prem hybrid platformWork on complex projects with minimal supervisionWrite high-quality, standardized scripts, configurations, and tests to increase platform reliability through automationCreate and maintain advanced observability solutions for platform systemsQuickly create Proof-of-Concept systems to validate ideas and test new technologiesMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience5 years' experience in operating globally distributed infrastructure in a 24/7, five 9 environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and parallel projects with strong organizational, and time management skillsExperience working in a remote team environmentExperience with Git version control3+ years' experience with VMware, Containerization5+ years' experience with basic scripting in Bash, Python, etc.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformExperience with Cloud hosting services: AWS, Azure, GCPExperience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Harness, GitLab CI/CD, etc.Ability to take ownership of assignments and drive to resolutionAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Skills:Proficiency in Linux service development, system configuration, shell scriptingProficiency of containerized technologies (Docker etc)Experience with observability systems such as DatadogExperience in Core Java development is a plusKnowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL and ETL is a plusKnowledge of data-lake technology like databricks is a plusMIN: $130KMAX: $160KOriginally posted on Himalayas
