This is a high-impact, ground-up engineering effort focused on building advanced modem and air interface capabilities using digital signal processing (DSP).The hardware foundation is in place, what s needed is a DSP expert who can architect and implement the software layer that drives radio performance, spectrum manipulation, and signal conversion.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement DSP algorithms for modem and air interface functionalityTranslate analog signal inputs into actionable digital data through advanced mathematical modelingDevelop and optimize software for SDR platforms, focusing on spectrum efficiency and protocol complianceConduct statistical analysis and modeling using tools like MATLABCollaborate with RF engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and softwareSupport testing, validation, and refinement of signal processing componentsRequired Skills & Experience8+ years of experience in DSP engineering, preferably in wireless communications or SDRStrong background in air interface protocols, spectrum analysis, and signal conversionHands-on experience with Blackfin DSP architectureFamiliarity with 900 MHz RF protocols and spectrum usageProficiency in MATLAB for statistical modeling and algorithm developmentSolid understanding of analog-to-digital conversion and real-time signal processingExperience working in small, agile engineering teamsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, or related fieldExperience in multi-year product development cycles from concept to deploymentKnowledge of embedded systems and RF hardware integrationEmployers have access to artificial intelligence language tools (“AI”) that help generate and enhance job descriptions and AI may have been used to create this description.
