We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Senior Director, Care Experience to lead the design, growth, and performance of high-impact specialty care solutions, including Surgery Care, Cancer Care, and Expert Medical Opinions (EMO).
This role operates as a general manager (GM) for a portfolio of complex care offerings—owning strategy, provider networks, bundled pricing models, and market expansion. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in value-based care, strong financial acumen, and the ability to scale solutions across employers and health plans.
You will lead and evolve a comprehensive suite of specialty care solutions, including:

Surgery COE Model

Bundled offering inclusive of surgeon, facility, and full episode costs
High-touch member experience with concierge navigation and top-tier providers

Expanded Specialty Solutions

Expert Medical Opinions (EMO): Access to leading specialists for second opinions
MSK / Orthopedics: Including virtual physical therapy and conservative care pathways
Cancer Care: Integrated support across chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical bundles


What You’ll Own
Solution Strategy & Design

Define and evolve COE offerings across Surgery, Cancer, and EMO
Develop scalable, high-quality care models aligned with market demand
Drive innovation in bundled payment structures and specialty care delivery

Growth & Commercialization

Lead adoption and expansion across employer and health plan segments
Identify upsell opportunities and expand into new specialty categories
Support sales efforts including RFPs, finalist presentations, and growth strategy

Provider Strategy & Network Development

Build and manage high-performing COE networks
Establish partnerships with leading health systems and specialty providers
Drive provider engagement, alignment, and performance improvement

Health Plan Partnerships

Integrate solutions with major national and regional carriers
Navigate complex partnership dynamics and alignment opportunities
Support joint go-to-market strategies

Financial Ownership

Own pricing strategy, bundled rate structures, and margin performance
Evaluate benchmarks, savings outcomes, and ROI
Manage product-level financials with accountability for significant revenue

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing team to achieve organizational goals; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting employee development and engagement.
Partner across product, analytics, finance, sales, and account management
Align stakeholders to execute on strategy and deliver measurable outcomes
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement

Deep Healthcare & Bundled Payment Expertise

Experience with value-based care and bundled payment models
Background in provider systems, health plans, or specialty solution vendors
Strong understanding of surgical and oncology care ecosystems

Financial & Analytical Strength

Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and pricing models
Expertise in evaluating rates, savings, margins, and performance metrics
Experience owning P&L or product revenue at scale

Provider & Market Credibility

Track record working with health systems and COE networks
Ability to influence provider behavior and drive alignment
Strong industry relationships and credibility

Commercial & Strategic Mindset

Operates like a GM or solution owner
Experience designing, selling, and scaling healthcare solutions
Skilled in supporting enterprise sales and growth initiatives

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in clinical program leadership, care delivery, or value-based care.
Deep expertise in surgery, oncology, or EMO/external medical opinion programs.
Proven track record of building and scaling programs in healthcare, digital health, or employer-based care.
Strong understanding of healthcare economics, payer-provider dynamics, and population health.
MBA, MPH, or advanced clinical degree preferred.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Differentiators

Direct experience with COE models (e.g., surgery bundles, specialty networks)
Background in cancer care and complex case management
Experience with EMO / second opinion programs
Ability to operate seamlessly across strategy, operations, and revenue growth

Total Rewards
Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.
Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.
