Sr. Algorithm Engineer, Home and Audio Devices

Genuine passion for innovation and product development with experience from inception through delivery to customers. We will very closely with the architecture team, the human experience team, firmware and software teams, and electrical and mechanical engineering teams to define and create sensing experiences for a number of future products. Specifically, during the concept design of a product, the candidate will be responsible to drive and create requirements, identify the best HW solutions available and design the SW algorithms. In this role we will work on signal processing, machine learning and data fusion techniques to enhance the capabilities of our sensing technologies. The individual will be also responsible for the overall sensor integration and tuning in the product and ensuring the highest quality execution. Apply today!

Description - Design, implement and optimize sensing algorithms - Prototype and evaluate novel techniques to improve sensing accuracy and functionality - Ensure algorithms meet performance, accuracy and latency requirements for embedded systems - Develop metrics and KPIs to track algorithm performance - Technical leadership of small teams and mentoring junior team members

Minimum Qualifications
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with M.S. in EE, CE, CS, or equivalent
• Proficient in Python/MATLAB for data analysis, visualization of complex datasets
• Experience with algorithm design for classification, noise modeling/filtering, signal processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning
• Experience with sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and signal-to-noise analysis
• Prior experience with end-to-end development, taking a feature from concept to shipping it
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams/projects and driving projects of varying sizes and scopes
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally for development and on-site manufacturing support is also expected.

• - Good teammate with great communication and leadership skills & ability to lead high-level discussions on technology strategy and approach

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
