Splunk & SolarWinds Orion Administrator

You will manage and optimize the performance, security, and monitoring of IT infrastructure using Splunk and SolarWinds Orion.

Responsibilities
• Configure and maintain Splunk environments, including forwarders, indexers, search heads, and Enterprise Security (ES).
• Administer the SolarWinds Orion Suite, specifically NPM and SAM modules, to monitor network devices, servers, and applications.
• Manage data ingestion, parsing, and indexing to ensure efficient log collection and accurate reporting.
• Create and customize dashboards, reports, and alerts to proactively detect performance bottlenecks and security incidents.
• Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting for both Splunk and SolarWinds environments.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for monitoring-related issues and collaborate with IT, Security, and Operations teams.

Required Skills
• 10+ years of professional experience in IT monitoring and administration.
• Deep expertise in Splunk administration, including search performance optimization and indexing.
• Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion Suite configuration and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for task automation and tool functionality improvements.
• Strong understanding of network monitoring concepts, event correlation, and security compliance.
• Experience managing monitoring tools within AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system and network performance issues.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with other network monitoring, log management, or incident response tools.
• Knowledge of database management and administration.
