Spezialist (m/w/d) in der operativen Logistik

Remote Full-time
Specialist In Operative Logistics At Urban Group

As a specialist in operative logistics at Urban Group, you will be part of an unbeatable team. Your future daily routine is characterized by respect, variety, and responsibility. Every day, exciting challenges await you. You keep the internal flow of goods running – precisely, forward-thinking, and with clear responsibility for stable processes. You manage our logistics service providers, recognize bottlenecks before they arise, improve processes, and take over the coordination between purchasing, suppliers, transporters, and internal departments. If you master operative logistics and at the same time have a passion for planning, process optimization, and clear communication, you are in the right place.
What We Offer:

Urban Group – we move the KION world.

As a reliable logistics partner within the KION Group, we ensure that the components that drive intralogistics arrive exactly where they are needed – on time and reliably. For over 60 years, our team of 550 people has provided seamless transport solutions, smart warehousing, and innovative battery take-back systems – throughout Europe and beyond.

What drives us? A clear vision: "With Passion and Performance in integrated logistics services, we enable Supply Chain Excellence for KION." Become part of our team – and move not only goods but also the future of logistics.
Your Benefits:
• Attractive compensation package, divided into 13 salaries per year
• Flexible working hours model and holiday entitlement of 30 days plus additional time compensation days
• Wide range of personal development measures for training and development within the group
• Possibility to work remotely from home office depending on the job
• Our basics: bike leasing offer, access to LinkedIn Learning, canteen in the neighboring group works, occupational health service, parking spaces
Your Tasks:
• In this role, you manage the internal logistics service providers throughout the entire goods receipt process and keep an eye on all process changes until they are fully implemented. You maintain an overview across departments and ensure that innovations work smoothly
• In case of problems with purchasing, transport service providers, suppliers, or logistics partners, you proceed in a structured manner, clarify the causes, and ensure that the material and goods flow remains stable
• Planning and accompanying the inventory count also belong to your daily routine. You independently and reliably implement area and layout planning as well as the creation of load and duty manuals
• You participate in the development of new procurement concepts and ensure that the interface between procurement and shipping logistics runs smoothly. The entire material flow – including all transports – is your responsibility: plan, control, monitor
• In the event of foreseeable bottlenecks, you inform the relevant departments early and keep your superiors continuously informed of any special events or shortcomings

Your strengths:
• In this position, you benefit from a completed training in a logistical or commercially technical environment – such as a specialist for warehouse logistics, warehouse specialist, industrial clerk, merchant for forwarding and logistics services, or a comparable qualification with a logistical focus.
• Your experience in operative logistics, material flow control, or in the supply chain environment helps you to quickly grasp and manage complex processes in a structured manner. You work analytically but also practically oriented and keep an overview even at high pace
• In the exchange with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics service providers, you act clearly, bindingly, and solution-oriented. You tackle challenges directly, recognize causes, and implement pragmatic measures
• You handle logistical IT systems, data, and planning documents securely and use them to make well-founded decisions or further develop processes. Reliability, precision, and the will to take responsibility in the ongoing operation characterize your working style – complemented by the ambition to continuously improve processes
