Specialist, Parts Pricing Development

The Specialist, Parts Pricing Development is responsible for reviewing and adjusting parts pricing to optimize sales revenue and profit opportunities through analysis and strategic implementation. Responsibilities Analyze categories of parts to develop and implement competitive and profitable pricing strategies and identify areas of opportunity for future growth Determine appropriate parts sourcing according to vehicle plant production Consult with internal Finance department regarding profit and pricing exceptions and take corrective action Communicate with Mazda global network and parent company in Japan to update parts master data and pricing information Respond to Retailer and Regional staff inquiries and concerns regarding parts pricing Perform system maintenance and ensure Oracle system has correct supersession, product and vendor information Prepare and transmit price files for DMS providers Communicate with vendors to negotiate parts pricing and optimize profits and volumes Skills Post-secondary education preferably in business, economics, commerce or related discipline 1-3 years related work experience Proficiency in using Microsoft Office with superior Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical skills including ability to calculate margins, discounts, profits and percentages Experience defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions Organize, prioritize, manage and complete assigned tasks in accordance with established standards and deadlines Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written) with colleagues, management, retailers and vendors Self-motivated and easily adaptive to change in a fast-paced environment Company Overview Mazda Canada Inc.
