Specialist, Inflight Operations Support
About the position
The Specialist, Inflight Operations Support role at American Airlines is a key position within the Inflight Team of the Customer Experience Division. This position serves as a liaison between various departments at Integrated Operation Control (IOC) and Inflight, ensuring effective communication and coordination during operational events that may impact flight attendants' health, safety, or security.
Responsibilities
Ā Acts as the first point of contact for notification of operational events that may impact the health, safety, or security of flight attendants.

Ā Ensures proper event notification and reporting.

Ā Communicates and coordinates with Inflight Management, Crew Scheduling/Tracking, Risk Management, Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), and flight attendants regarding significant events or diversions that impact crew members.

Ā Participates in operational calls, creating operational reports and a delay summary for distribution to Inflight leadership, as well as requesting reports from flight attendants via the Corporate Event Reporting System (CERS).
Requirements
Ā High School diploma or GED Equivalency.
,
Ā Ability to work a flexible schedule including rotation of shifts and days off.
,
Ā Ability to work shifts including overnights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
,
Ā Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training (preferred).
,
Ā 2 years of Inflight experience (preferred).
,
Ā 1 year of crew tracking/scheduling experience (preferred).
,
Ā Ability to exercise sound judgment and good decision-making.
,
Ā Ability to multi-task and manage several projects, events, and programs simultaneously.
,
Ā Microsoft Office and Sabre experience.
,
Ā CERS experience.
,
Ā Knowledge of contract labor groups.

Ā Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training.

Ā 2 years Inflight experience.
