The Special Education Teaching Assistant at Great Hearts Academies plays a crucial role in supporting students with disabilities in both general and special education classrooms. Responsibilities
• Serve students with disabilities in general education and special education resource classrooms.

• Assist with assignments and manage student behavior.

• Support students' emotional, behavioral, and academic needs in all instructional settings.

• Collaborate with certified Special Education teachers and General Education teachers.

• Perform additional duties based on experience and academy needs.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Valid Educational Aide level I, II, or III certification in Texas preferred.
,
• Experience working with students with behavior challenges preferred.
,
• Documented history of working well with students with disabilities preferred.

• Work experience as a teacher, teaching assistant, or aide in a K-12 school preferred.

• Ability to work with children with disabilities.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
