Blazer Jobs is partnering with school districts throughout Ohio to hire dedicated and certified Special Education (SPED) Teachers for the 2025–2026 academic year. Position Overview
SPED Teachers in Ohio play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning, emotional, and developmental needs. You’ll be responsible for implementing IEPs, adapting instruction, and working closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff.
We are hiring for roles in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, Toledo, and other surrounding districts.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Modify general education curriculum to meet IEP goals
• Provide direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings
• Track and report progress, maintaining accurate student records
• Collaborate with educators, service providers, and parents/guardians
• Ensure adherence to Ohio Department of Education regulations and IDEA requirements
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
• Understanding of IEP development, compliance, and instructional modifications
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
• Must pass state-required background checks and fingerprinting

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Contract duration: August 2025 – June 2026
