Special Education Teacher - Litchfield Park, AZ

An exciting opportunity awaits for professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of middle school students. A full-time contract position is open for a Special Education Teacher to support students with intermediate disabilities in grades 6-8. This role is based in a supportive middle school environment and focuses on students within a Sales classroom setting. The assignment is expected to begin as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year, with onsite responsibilities and potential for virtual/on-campus (VOCO) arrangements if needed.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous classroom experience with grades 6-8, preferably in an intermediate disabilities setting
• Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet student needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Experience using technology for instruction and data tracking is beneficial

Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized and group instruction following students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
• Manage classroom behavior through positive interventions and support
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings, development, and regular review
• Engage with parents and guardians regarding student performance and growth
