Special Counsel Employment Attorney

A leading national labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Special Counsel Employment Attorney to join its fully remote team. This senior-level, partner-equivalent role is ideal for accomplished employment attorneys who enjoy managing complex cases independently while mentoring junior attorneys. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in employment law, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide exceptional client service without the pressures of business development. Special Counsel Employment Attorney Responsibilities: • Manage a full caseload of employment matters, including administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation for clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance • Oversee and supervise junior attorneys, including reviewing work product, providing feedback, and developing case strategies • Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings, draft and argue motions, and take and defend deposition • Represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials • Handle administrative charges, demand letters, and single-plaintiff litigation, with potential involvement in class actions, PAGA cases, and other labor and employment law matters • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver high-quality legal solutions Special Counsel Employment Attorney Requirements: • JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials • Active state bar admission • 7+ years of experience practicing employment law and litigation • Proven ability to independently manage complex employment matters and supervise others • Strong writing, analytical, and case management skills • Comfortable handling EPLI matters and working with administrative agencies • Bar admission in California is preferred Benefits: • Competitive base salary • Billable Hour Bonus • Formula Bonus and Year-End Discretionary Bonus • 401(k) with profit-sharing contribution • Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, and FSA Plans • Unlimited PTO • Paid Parental Leave, Profit Sharing, Life Insurance, and Pet Insurance • Paid Holidays If you're a senior attorney looking for a fully remote role with meaningful work, leadership opportunities, and a supportive team culture, apply now and join a firm that's at the forefront of legal innovation and technology! #LI-BM1 #IND-LEGAL Apply tot his job
