Work Location: Remote in the United States Engagement Model: Freelance; Independent Contractor Est. Start Date: Immediately Est. Work Schedule/Workload: Approximately 24 hours over a 2-week period (The actual schedule and total workload may vary depending on feedback and revision cycles) Language(s) Needed: Spanish (US) Rate: $28 USD per hour (with an expected hourly throughput of reviewing 1,500 words) DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking several Spanish (US) Freelance Editors/QAers to join our project. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative project; your creative contribution will be used to test and improve Machine Translation technology. We will consider candidates with relevant editing skills or experience. Preference will be given to those with a professional background in editing and/or a graduate or undergraduate degree in literature, journalism, or creative writing. Task Summary: Editors/QAers will review original short stories to ensure accurate spelling, grammar, and guideline compliance. They will also provide constructive feedback to help improve plot, structure, character development, and other storytelling elements.
