**Job Description:**
As a Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines, you will be part of an enthusiastic team ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while embodying our Spirit of Positivity and Customer Service Excellence. Critical thinking, flexibility, and impeccable interpersonal skills are key to succeeding in this role.
**Responsibilities:**
– Conduct pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety equipment functions properly.
– Greet passengers warmly, assist with boarding, and help stow carry-on luggage.
– Explain safety procedures to passengers in a clear and concise manner.
– Provide splendid customer service and respond to passengers’ questions and concerns.
– Serve food and beverages and manage onboard sales.
– Remain calm and effectively handle emergencies and unusual situations.
– Administer first aid as needed.
– Enforce and adhere to cabin safety regulations.
– Prepare flight reports and communicate with the captain and crew members effectively.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or GED. College coursework or a degree in hospitality, communication, or tourism is a plus.
– Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Bilingual skills are a bonus.
– Ability to reach overhead bins and lift standard carry-on luggage.
– Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended flights.
– Ability to obtain a passport and travel freely across international borders.
– Pass a background check and drug screening.
– Previous customer service experience is preferred.
– Certification in CPR and Basic First Aid is advantageous.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High School Diploma or GED required.
– Higher education in relevant fields is considered an asset.
**Experience:**
– Experience in customer service, hospitality, or airlines is highly preferred though not mandatory. Comprehensive training will be provided.
