### **Description**
As a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for an outstanding in-flight service and safety standards. This position requires a dynamic, customer-service oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the preparation of the cabin, conducting pre-flight safety checks, demonstrating emergency procedures, serving refreshments and meals, and providing general customer assistance throughout the flight.

### **Responsibilities**
– Conduct pre-flight cabin checks and ensure all safety equipment is ready and functioning properly.
– Greet passengers as they board and exit the plane, assist with seating accommodations, and help stow carry-on luggage.
– Present pre-flight safety demonstrations and inform passengers of the aircraft’s safety procedures.
– Serve beverages, meals, or snacks; sell onboard merchandise, and assist with passenger inquiries during the flight.
– Monitor the cabin frequently for the general comfort, safety, and security of the passengers.
– Provide special attention to passengers with special needs, including children, the elderly, or those with disabilities.
– Administer and coordinate emergency medical care as necessary.
– Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations as well as Southwest Airlines’ policies and procedures.

### **Requirements**
– At least 21 years of age.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent. College education or relevant coursework preferred.
– Ability to relocate as needed and travel extensively to meet operational needs.
– Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
– Pass a background check, including fingerprints, a ten-year Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) background check, and a drug test.
– Capable of lifting objects up to 35 pounds.
– Competent swimming ability.
– Previous customer service experience highly preferred.
