About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in a remote capacity. If you have a passion for supporting high school students with special needs and a strong background in special education, we would love to hear from you...

In this role, you'll provide both direct and indirect educational support to high school students in South Carolina, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging remote instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of high school students with special education requirements.

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address each student's unique needs and goals.

Provide instruction across various subjects, adapting your teaching methods and materials to fit different learning styles.

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Monitor and assess students' progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.

Use teletherapy platforms effectively to conduct lessons and interact with students.

Keep accurate records of student progress, IEP documentation, and other relevant data.

Offer guidance and strategies to parents and teachers to enhance students' academic and personal growth.

Engage in professional development and training to stay updated with best practices in special education.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.

Valid Special Education certification or license in South Carolina.

At least 2 years of experience teaching high school students with special education needs is preferred.

Strong knowledge of high school educational processes, IEP development, and best practices in special education.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office environment.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
