Sourcing and Product Development Coordinator

The Sourcing and Product Development Coordinator will collaborate with the design team, coordinate fabric development activities, and track product timelines to ensure timely delivery of new trends and products.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with design team to ensure that the vision and objectives are understood and executed and prior to new season for the development of new trends (Style, fabric, washing, trims…etc.)Coordinate fabric development activities from concept through order placementTrack fabric development timelines, including lab dips, strike-offs, sampling, testing, and approvalsMaintain and organize fabric libraries, swatches, and development recordsTrack product development timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are metEnsure vendor fill up T&A as soon as salesman sample order is confirmed and updated during production development cycleEnsure meeting company margin set goalMargin report maintenanceUpdate SAP and IBTAttend certain merchandising, design and tech meetingsRaise questions when foreseeing potential problems and develop actions to solve themParticipate and monitor activities related to sample production activitiesCoordinate in the approval of colors, fabrics and accessories as defined by the design team and keep records up to date to ensure the accuracy of all approvalsSkills1-3 years of experience in overseas product development/sourcing (apparel)Thorough understanding of fashion apparel retail merchandisingProficient knowledge of fabrics including fabric, color, yarn, garment construction, fit and specificationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work well in a team environment and a strong team playerEstablished relationship building skills with cross-functional teamDetail oriented and able to handle multiple tasksStrong organizational skillsStrong math skillsProblem solving skillsBenefitsComprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision)Matching 401(k)Summer FridaysGenerous PTOMerchandise discountsExcellent career development opportunitiesCompany OverviewCentric Brands is an apparel and accessories company that sells accessories for children, women, and men.
