Solutions Engineer

We love picking up new challenges and care deeply about the quality of our work.In this role, you will serve as the primary technical partner for our most strategic prospects and customers. You’ll play a dual role: driving complex technical engagements through end-to-end demos, migrations, and integrations, and accelerating ramp for new sales hires by codifying best practices. You will showcase our product’s value to prospects, uncover challenges and architect tailored solutions, drive successful sales evaluations, and champion customer needs internally.Please note: We are an equal opportunity employer and remote-only company. At this time, we can only support hiring within the US for this role.What You’ll DoArticulate Linear’s architecture, data model, and integration patterns to engineering and product teams; deliver tailored technical presentations and deep-dive demos for key stakeholders.Design, plan, and execute large-scale migrations, custom configurations, and API integrations; troubleshoot proactively to ensure seamless onboarding.Build and maintain realistic demo instances that mirror enterprise workflows, scale tests, and feature toggles—enabling sales reps to showcase Linear’s capabilities in context.Collaborate with Sales Enablement to develop technical training materials, run “train-the-trainer” sessions for new hires, and curate a library of exemplar solution playbooks.Act as the go-to technical resource for high-priority accounts; work alongside Customer Success to resolve post-sale technical issues and drive adoption.What We’re Looking For2+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a high-growth SaaS company, with experience supporting enterprise-scale deals.Strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations, and product integrationsExcellent communication skills—able to present complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executivesExperience with Github and git; Linear and/or Jira strongly preferredProven ability to build realistic, scalable demo environments and troubleshoot production issuesCS degree or engineering background strongly preferredCollaborative mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teamsComfort with SQL and scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript)What We OfferInteresting and challenging workWork-life balanceCompetitive salary and equityEmployee-friendly equity terms (early exercise, extended exercise)Paid lunch and coffee during workdaysWork remotely, no commuting to the officePaid co-working space/desk at an officeHealth, dental, and vision insurance (US)Regular team events and offsites5 weeks of paid vacation4 months of paid parental leaveLearn how we think and work:A story about our mission: Read MeBuilding our way: Announcing our Series CSequoia Capital Spotlight: Designing for the DevelopersBuilding our teams: Why and how we do work trials at Linear
