Johnson Controls OpenBlue is a leading provider of Digital Workplace solutions, dedicated to delivering innovative SaaS solutions that optimize workplace operations and enhance organizational efficiency. We are committed to empowering businesses with cutting-edge technology to manage their facilities, real estate, and workplace resources effectively. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Solutions Consultant to join our Technical Pre-Sales team. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, helping clients navigate workplace management challenges and develop solutions that drive success. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the field of technical sales within the dynamic landscape of a SaaS company. This is a remote position for candidates based in the US.

What You Will Do
β€’ Serve as a technical subject matter expert that thoroughly understands the OpenBlue solution set, use cases, technical architecture, and competitive landscape.
β€’ Provide product expertise and knowledge during the sales process to help close business
β€’ Develop and deliver remote product demonstrations as well as on-site demonstrations across multiple industries and for various audiences (Higher Ed, Healthcare, Corporate, Government, International)
β€’ Assist the Sales Team in performing discovery and uncovering critical business issues in client’s current process.
β€’ Create presentations and custom demonstrations as well as proof of concepts and guided training sessions when necessary
β€’ Act as a subject matter expert liaison between departments, including Product, Marketing, Support and Services to provide up-to-date information and engage in cross-dept. initiatives
β€’ Manage & maintain the sales demo environments
β€’ Contribute to RFP and security questionnaire responses.
β€’ Participate in industry meetings, networking, trade show events and activities
β€’ Self-educate on current market trends
β€’ Travel may be required 10-25% of the time.

How You Will Do It
β€’ Leverage your deep understanding of OpenBlue products, technical architecture, and industry use cases to align solutions with client needs.
β€’ Use strong presentation and communication skills to deliver tailored demonstrations and workshops to diverse audiences.
β€’ Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Support, and Services teams to stay up to date with product developments and client feedback.
β€’ Manage your time effectively to prioritize tasks, adapt to shifting schedules, and ensure all client-facing deliverables are met with excellence.
β€’ Apply creativity and technical knowledge to craft engaging demonstrations, proof-of-concept models, and solutions that resonate with prospects.

What We Look For
β€’ 5+ years of SaaS pre-sales experience with proven success.
β€’ Expertise in Workplace Management, Facilities, and/or Analytics Solutions.
β€’ Strong presentation and teaching skills with the ability to simplify and communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
β€’ A track record of quickly learning and applying new technologies.
β€’ Experience selling into industries such as corporate, healthcare, higher education, and government markets.
β€’ Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD and/or Revit.
β€’ Basic programming knowledge in HTML/CSS and understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
β€’ Conceptual understanding of integration options and technologies and the ability to discuss choices with prospects and clients to fulfill their business requirements.
β€’ Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
β€’ Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and client demands.
