About the role - you will: As the Reference Architecture Design Specialist, you will report to the Business Development Director – Hyperscale/Cloud and AI Storage. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and documenting reference architecture, comparing power and performance specifications against competing storage solutions, and educating customers on why Seagate reference architectures will solve their needs. Your efforts will focus on providing technical expertise and support to drive the adoption of Seagate's storage reference architecture. Key Responsibilities: • Design and document reference architectures for Seagate's storage working closely with partners in compute, networking, and software. • Analyze and compare power and performance specifications against competing storage solutions to create unique opportunities for customers to scale their solutions and provide customer value. • Document Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Seagate's reference architecture. • Work closely with ISVs to develop optimal tiering and data management techniques to ensure cost, performance, and scale can occur for emerging AI applications. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to support go-to-market strategies and accelerate adoption of Hyperscale/Cloud and AI storage solutions. • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to shape our reference architecture design strategy. About you: • Strong understanding of emerging market trends, customer needs, and vertical applications. • Proven ability to design and document reference architectures that align with business objectives. • Exceptional collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to drive partnership development and revenue acceleration. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience educating customers on technical solutions. Your experience includes: • Extensive experience in reference architecture design, solutions architecture, or related technical roles within the computing, storage, or related technology sectors. • Strong background in market analysis, competitive positioning, and ecosystem engagement. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience. Should be able to work with a Global team Travel: Up to 25% Seagate is able to offer virtual employment for this position in the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WY. The estimated base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $180,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible employees, including, but not limited to, eligibility to participate in discretionary bonus program, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short-and long-term disability, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, health savings account, dependent care, and healthcare spending accounts.
