Overview
Would you like to be part of a team working to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name? In this entry-level role, you would be part of a team providing technical support and development of applications that allow us to monitor the effectiveness of our child development programs. This includes configuring survey content with YAML, generating surveys with command-line execution, committing work using established source control methods, testing output of this work, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvement. You would be working closely with data monitoring specialists and data engineers.

Please note: This is a remote, full-time, temporary position for one year.

What will you do?

Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

Acts as an advocate for children. Understands and advances Christ's mandate to protect children. Raises awareness of the needs of children and takes active steps to help protect against neglect, abuse, and exploitation of children. Promotes the dignity, respect, positive treatment, potential of children in all circumstances. Encourages the involvement of others in helping children in need. Reports and appropriately supports responses to incidents of harm of children if they occur.

Supports application software development services by creating VS Code and provides technical assistance for existing architecture or new deployments.

Follows simple program logic for new applications or makes simple modifications to logic in existing applications.

Maintains software applications through simple coding, testing, including writing test plans, documentation, and implementation.

Follows strategies around existing technology products to ensure these products produce expected results and benefit to customers.

Provides technical support throughout the lifecycle of customer-specific technology based products. Primarily works with Cloud or Purchased applications.

Contributes to cross-functional project teams in the area of data process, data governance, and application systems.

What will you bring?

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

No experience is required beyond the minimum education requirement.
