Software iOS Engineer
PayPal is seeking an accomplished and passionate iOS Mobile Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with cross functional teams during all phases of the software development lifecycle, focusing on designing and developing mobile applications and SDKs. Responsibilities Implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), receiving structure and oversight from more experienced staff Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures Understands internal standards & processes and applies them to make technical decisions Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions May contribute to code & design reviews Design and develop mobile application, mobile SDK and frameworks/common libraries Utilize skills in native mobile development to build great mobile applications Participate in architecture and design discussions, code reviews, and project related team activities Work with other engineers, architects, product management, QA and operations teams to develop innovative solutions Understand and meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development principles and product goal Develop functional test automation Develop mobile application prototypes Iterate with our UX team in an Agile environment to bring features from conception to launch Skills 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience At least 1 year of hands-on iOS development experience Strong understanding of multithreaded and asynchronous programming concepts Proven experience integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs Experience designing and developing iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI Solid understanding of iOS architectural patterns, including MVVM or MVI A team player who values collaboration, innovation, and inclusion Interested in keeping up-to-date with the latest technological developments Comfortable working in an Agile environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Interest in the payments industry Benefits Generous paid time off Healthcare coverage for you and your family Resources to create financial security and support your mental health Company Overview Venmo offers an app that allows users to share and make payments with friends for a variety of services.
