About the position Grammarly is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in NLP to join our Enterprise team in building new products and capabilities for our Enterprise customers. The person in this role will work with a high-performing team of Engineers, Product Designers, Computational and Analytical Linguists, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to build new AI products that improve communication in our customer organizations. Grammarly's engineers and researchers have the freedom to innovate and uncover breakthroughs—and, in turn, influence our product roadmap. The complexity of our technical challenges is growing rapidly as we scale our interfaces, algorithms, and infrastructure. The person in this role will apply ML to solve new and challenging problems and build the infrastructure and systems to operate solutions effectively at scale. Responsibilities • Work with a cross-functional team to build new AI products. • Apply machine learning to solve challenging problems. • Build infrastructure and systems to operate solutions effectively at scale. • Collaborate with Analytical Linguists, Computational Linguists, Data Scientists, and Product Managers. Requirements • Understands traditional machine learning algorithms and state-of-the-art techniques, including deep learning. • Has a deep understanding of modern algorithms for and approaches to ML and NLP. • Has experience building LLM-based products and evaluating the performance of LLMs. • Is comfortable reading academic papers and applying exciting ideas. • Understands data structures and algorithms to write performant code with large datasets. • Is highly entrepreneurial, energetic, and creative, comfortable in a fast-paced environment. • Can communicate effectively with others.
